Case Study Statistics Owing to the increasing prevalence of obesity in lower-income and minority groups, we have recently tried to estimate the effects of poor health on child mortality on adult mortality. We found: The average mortality among middle-height high school students in 2002–2012 from a health care perspective was 16.7% in the most affluent group (per capita); the average had increased slightly in the second after 1996–2005; and the average mortality in the richest groups had declined steadily from 23.7% in 2002 to 10.2% in 2006–2013–2014\]\].\[[@ref13]\] Owing to the higher prevalence of poor health among people with early childhood mortality, we therefore hypothesize that the higher mortality incidence followed by those in the less affluent group may reflect the lower demographic profile of working-age kids rather than the increased mortality risk for poor health.
