The victory for the Union was the last major operation taking place in the final phase of the War of 1812. During the Battle Creek Campaign, some troops were killed fighting them, while others were injured. On September 13, 1758, a major battle began. The American side, led by Commodore Samuel C. Hanley, was split into two groups: the Union marched directly to Gettysburg, the Confederate killed, Union generals, and Union military preparations; the American army retook Gettysburg. The Union victory gave the Americans enough chance to prepare an attack, but the Union army felt betrayed once again by the sudden and unexpected tragedy of the Battle Creek Campaign. If the Union should push to the east toward the Texas hilltop of Little Texan, a direct attack would be expected. The Union forces were commanded by John David Johnson, who led the Union division; Johnson then led the staff of the American army for several weeks during the siege of Gettysburg. On September 25, the victory of the Union on the central hilltop sent a shock across Europe and in England and other countries; the Union troops were held in ignorance of what the British army planned.
