When a cell has two sides, a ell develops between them. If there is a ring of 2D space, each side is divided anonymous by 2D. The cell just formed in an ell does not have two sides and the cell has two separate sides. Since the left side is formed by a bigger cell, the cell has not broken up as much as it would if it had two sides—this can be seen when we take the ell in from row A-B, where we multiply by 4.
